How to Set Up NZBGet on Windows
NZBGet is a lightweight, efficient newsreader for Usenet that supports automation and high article retention. This guide will walk through the process of installing and configuring NZBGet on a Windows system using UsenetServer.
Step 1: Install NZBGet

Download the Windows installer from the official NZBGet website.

Run the installation file and follow the install wizard.

Launch NZBGet after installation.
NZBGet opens in your browser at http://127.0.0.1:6789
. The default login credentials are:

Username: nzbget
-
Password: nzbget
Step 2: Configure UsenetServer in NZBGet

In the NZBGet Web interface, click on Settings.

Select NEWS-SERVERS from the left menu.

Choose "Add another server" to create a new configuration.
Enter the following information:

Name: UsenetServer

Host: news.usenetserver.com

Port: 563 (for SSL)

Username: Your UsenetServer username

Password: Your UsenetServer password

Encryption: Yes (SSL enabled)

Connections: 20

Retention: Leave blank (NZBGet will use the full article retention of your provider)
Click Save All Changes at the bottom of the page.
Step 3: Test the Server

In the NEWS-SERVER section, click Test Connection at the bottom of the UsenetServer configuration.

Confirm that the connection is successful before moving on.
Step 4: Save and Restart
After all changes are made:

Click Save All Changes.

Restart NZBGet to apply settings.
