Add an NNTP Server in NZBGet for Encrypted Usenet Access

Configure NZBGet for efficient and secure use with UsenetServer’s high-speed servers. This walkthrough covers all required settings.

Instructions

  1. Open NZBGet and go to Settings > NEWS-SERVERS.

  2. Add a new server entry with these values:

    • Name: Usenet Provider

    • Host: news.example.com

    • Port: 563 (SSL) or 119 (non-SSL)

    • Encryption: Yes for SSL

    • Username: [Usenet login]

    • Password: [Usenet password]

    • Connections: Up to 20

  3. Save your settings.

Tips

  • Stick to SSL on port 563 for encrypted access.

  • Check the article retention policy on your UsenetServer plan.

  • Adjust the number of connections to avoid network overload.
