Accurate Server Benchmarking with NZBGet
Test performance without external NZBs by setting up a dedicated test server in NZBGet configured with a transfer cap.
Steps

Start with a Known-Good Server:
Add a UsenetServer entry inSettings > NEWS-SERVERS
and confirm its success. -
Clone for Testing:
Duplicate the server entry and name it "UsenetServer Speed Test". -
Cap Transfer:
EnableOptional
and setX.Limit
to a low value (e.g., 50 MB). -
Test Server Priority:
AssignLevel
0 and disable other servers. -
Restart and Review:
Restart NZBGet. Watch the status bar for throughput readings. -
Analyze Results:
Use the output to make decisions on port, SSL settings, or connection count.
