Use SSL Certificate Verification with NZBGet

Strengthen UsenetServer Privacy with SSL

Verifying SSL certificates reduces the risk of connecting to spoofed Usenet endpoints.

Steps to Enable Verification

  1. Open NZBGet and visit Settings > SECURITY.

  2. Set CertCheck to yes.

  1. Restart NZBGet.

Common Issues and Fixes

  • Incorrect system time or date can break validation.

  • Update or install missing CA certificates to fix trust issues.

UsenetServer’s infrastructure uses signed certificates from trusted sources, so most issues stem from local device configurations.
